What falls under explicit content?

We seperate three types of art. The 'suitable for the whole family' type, the 'explicit' type and the 'adults only' type. Not because we think one is art and the other is not, but because we have a broad audience that includes minors.

The 'suitable for the whole family' type
This is your common art that is, well suitable for the whole family. Young and old.

The 'explicit' type
This type of artwork can be added to the galleries but requires the 'explicit content' option to be activated. These artworks are not suitable for our young audience and can contain nudity, graphical violence, excessive use of blood, etc. However, we draw the line at pornography. That also includes sexual intercourse and other sexual acts.

The 'adults only' type
Although we think of GFXartist as an art site, we're not an adult site. So art or not, we have to draw the line somewhere. We draw the line at artwork showing pornography and sexual intercourse/acts, this type of art is not allowed in the GFXartist gallery and will be removed.

Please use your common sense when placing your artwork in either one of these categories and follow our rules. Whenever the admins think the rules have not been followed, they can activate the 'explicit content' option or remove the artwork. The admins decision is final.
