The development of GFXartist started in late 1999 and eventually went live in March 2000, its created and operated by Brothers in art from Hilversum, The Netherlands. Our dedicated team of volunteers from around the world make GFXartist the best art community there is.

Learn from the articles and tutorials, stay up to date with the daily news, communicate using your buddylist and the on-site message system as well as the comment functions throughout the site. Expose your work in our member gallery and see what others think about your creations.


GFXartist is a community site aimed at the professional and next generation digital artists. Our main goal is to create an online environment where our visitors can communicate, learn and expose their work. GFXartist also has an elite system. At the end of every month we line up the most respected and valued artists by looking at the top 10 artworks in the member gallery. To decide who gets the elite status, we let the public vote. Elite members have more access to the site and get to post their work in the Elite gallery, thus providing the users a high quality selection of artists and their work.

Of course GFXartist is more than pimping your creations. In our features section we provide articles and tutorials that can help our users to master new skills and techniques. The interviews give some insight into the minds of top artists. Contests make the artists push their limits, afterall there are prizes to win.

But don't forget, if you want to be a part of this, you'll need to register. This will make all these functions available to you. And don't worry, it won't cost a dime.
