I would like to see some soft sketches before you get the hard lines I feel this might help people how you get the hand to look this way GOOD THREAD book marked I hope other people will post too

Very helpful indeed! You already seem to be quite experienced in this, but I guess one can always improve. There are so many things to learn in the study of anatomy, even when it's limited to 'only' the hands. I will check back here to see the progress. Keep collecting Shyam!

Awesome thread Shyam! Thanks for sharing, you're very kind. Funnily enough, this was a topic thread I have on my 'hit-list' as an idea for a permanent thread! Thanx for giving ur hands friend...but im afraid..thats not ANATOMY STUDY for me...im looking for some serious Anatomy studies. looking forward to see ur ANATOMY STUDIES ! some of my recent studies...btw im trying to learn the HUMAN HAND so there will be nothing but just HANDS from my side well for some time...u all have to tolarate it.. feel free to give any crit.

Aha, you are studying the muscles too... Nice going, don't quit now. Those female hands look good, but something seems odd with the little finger in the first pic... Can't say if it's wrong or not though. Keep them coming!

I think he's doing a great job. Very solid draftsmanship. If there's anything slightly artificial about the hands to me it's the way shayam is handling the transition from arm through wrist to hand. I'd draw the arm. Then I'd draw the hand detactched from the arm -- there's a slight rotation there -- then I'd bridge the two together.

johanflood I think they may look like robot hands to you cause he has the inner circle lines these are the shapes just like when you 3D model he's building the hand it also helps other artists to study this and learn.... I personally don't draw like this but I wish I did!!! shyam great work

They look okay but when it comes to actually seeing the final modelled hand and critiquing it, we need to see it on a body. Everyone's hands are very different, even in the bone structure (my middle finger tips are curved and all of my fingers curve backward quite far, which isn't really normal I find haha). All of your bone and muscle structure studies look 99% accurate, but without the body, I can't crit to see if the hand belonged to a person....if the hand was drawn correctly.
