What Do You Think? | HDR (Attempt #2) Avatar
Tommyguns | 05/21/2006 @402 | Edit edit post
Hi folks, here is my 2nd attempt at HDR photography! I've really struck an interest in this technique! I'd be interested in your comments on these two images. The top is the original, straight out of the camera. The only adjustment done to it is resizing it. The lower image is the HDR composition (7 exposure range +3/-3 stops). Mind you, it was a bit windy therefor blurring the plant you see. Please see the larger versions for comparison at the end of this post. You'll see MUCH greater detail in the shadows/highlights and tonal range! C/C welcome!

Photomatix?
I think the range is just too big, makes it look kinda off. Plus, the sharpening is a little bit too strong.

I prefer it this way: http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/9534/untouched056el.jpg

I like your edition Slapo and I appreciate your version. I was going for more tonal range as I showed in my version. While I realize your image is perhaps more how the real scene looked at the time, I wanted to show greater value in the sky as well as the earth. Thank you though and I appreciate your comment.
