Okay, just like the Post-a-comment thread!, this one is for posting a Review on artist's work. I know I've not used this feature much and it's still in Beta. Anybody use it? Leave a review of the artwork of the person above you. then you can post here to get one yourself. Game?

Ok… well I’ve given it a shot. Was gonna review (rather predictably) - 99% DNA - but I couldn’t think of any ‘cons’ – and as this was supposed to be an exercise in using the review facility I opted for - The Abbey [soft focus Version 11] by  Almost-Human instead. Well  emarts looks like I killed your post off for you …. Nobody wants to review my stuff ….. C’mon guys I can take it – honest! . Or review an  emarts or  Almost-Human piece… lets just get the old gal resuscitated! I’ve had a go at doing some ‘real world’ reviews too… Found it a bit cumbersome to use to start with but once you get into the swing of it, it becomes more natural. I find it easiest to work backwards – filling in the comments section first, then pulling out pertinent points for the pros and cons sections. The only thing I feel uncomfortable about is using the drop-downs for the ‘objective’ analysis. It’s a bit like voting – no-one’s gonna agree what constitutes Strong and Very Strong – everyone’s gonna be insulted by a rating of Average or less. And it really doesn’t say anything that you aren’t going to expand on in the comments section (with a lot more tact and diplomacy if necessary). I tried not selecting anything – but it won’t let you Overall though I found it really useful – I’m aware I have a tendency to write too much in the comments (never one for using 2 words when 20 will do the same job ) and I find it useful to be able to stick it all out of the way so that it doesn’t interrupt the more lively flow of the comments section. I think it’s worth dropping a comment in as well though, just to mention you’ve posted a review – otherwise they probably won’t look at all! Phill [Message edited on 05/29 @440]

hey good idea! reviewed "the token", hope it was at least a bít useful cons arn't really cons but i guess you've got to live with that! hope this thread catches on... Annette

I commented on "Icarus's Flight" since it was the only artwork in your gallery, Aeglos, but i really like it and hope to see more of your work. *Waits patiently for someone to write a review on one of my pics*

Hmmm, looks like everyone's gone to the post-a-comment thread. Personally I find that reviews are much more helpful in improving your work. Anyways, I posted a review for Traff's latest work "Tunnel Vision", hope to bring this topic back to life.

Check any picture you like and there click on the "Reviews" tab next to the "Comments" tab. It's self-explanatory.

oh god make it stop :lol Its way WAY too busy for a website design -- generally for websites I'd say pic 1 or 2 colors total, and use different tonal ranges instead of assloads of colors. someone comes across this on the web and their first reaction would be like mine : Obviously this is the gate to visual hell. sorry just posted.

How many members does it take to screw up a posting thread? Crazyboy - I didn't really leave the review as part of this thread - I just used it to comment your work so..... hehe I dont konw if firefox isnt displaying or what, but some of the pics I couldnt find or see. I suppose its safe to assume that older ones may have been unpublished. Anyway Im in a bit of a rush and only got to look at at few but I will review asap. Great work guys.
