Hello GFXers For those members who know us (and greetings to those who don't ), we are presently here in Japan but on the 22nd of August 2006, we are heading back to my home country, the Philippines and we'll be staying there indefinitely. We will be nursing my Mom for a while (she's having an operation), starting a new life back home and probably it will take time before we can find a job, settle down, and continue contributing to this site. Our schedule has been hectic for the last several months so forgive us for not being able to participate as often as we used to. We also want to say goodbye for a while to all the new wonderful friends we made during our short stint here. We will try our best to keep in touch with you wherever we are. We had a brief chance to log in and were amazed with the new fantastic entries. Keep it up and we are looking forward to posting and viewing your future entries as well. By the way, congratulations to all the new Elites: clap! clap! clap!...and welcome to the new members as well. We are both hoping that you will welcome us back again, hopefully in the near future, with the same warm response you gave us when we first joined this "family". Well folks, Maridol and I have almost completed the packing and resorting of our lives before we head home to the Philippines. Needless to say we are both exhausted, a good sleep will be welcomed with utter delight. Thanks for all your wishes! So for now, we bid you all adieu, take care of yourselves, hopefully we'll be back in your lives sooner than you can say "Cheese!" lol - We'd almost forgotten about this thread!!! Guess we'd better give you a quick update... After leaving Osaka we headed to the Philippines as previously mentioned, and while there we married. I headed back to New Zealand December 2006 to find work and a home for Maridol and I whilst Maridol took care of her Mom during a series of operations. Finally (and after some astronomical phone bills and wayyy to many lonely nights) Maridol was able to join me here in the Bay of Plenty - we're still settling in, I'm working as a programmer (I miss teaching in Japan sooo much!) and Maridol is exploring her opportunities having just obtained her visa. Sad to say I haven't had much time to browse/participate at GFX of late, work commitments suck away at my free time like a drunk in a vinyard. However, DO EXPECT me to haunt the pages of GFX again soon. In the mean time, a little older and wiser, we'll leave you with this... Ian & Maridol [Message edited on 08/27 @370]
