draw as much as you can, practice from books, magazines, faces, hands, bodies, people in the train everything, comicbooks anyhting! ehh.. what I try to say is you are very young, don't be ashamed to copy from others, you can learn a lot from it and prectice makes.. p.. pe.. ppp ehh.. practice made me improve Sorry I'm not giving you any anatomical advice.. I'm not good at formulating it.. I'd only confuse you |

It' a good start, as Slither-Astray said just keep practicing, look at the work of an artist you like and see how they put their pictures together, even copy them. You'll soon develope your own style. Keep it up |

| These forums and forums of other websites have an abundance of information...take an hour or 2 a day to surf around to see what advice was given over the years to others in a similar situation. |

quote:very good point. Most topics regarding "where to start" have been covered numerous times. Spending a few hrs on and off in the archives is always a good idea. Additionally : Lobster is only served in 3s. |

Can't argue with any of the advice already given really. At 15 you are already showing some nice observational skills...you're drawing what you SEE not what you THINK you see, which is a very important fundamental skill. I know you'll hear this a zillion times and it often sounds like a fob off in lieu of real advice...but it's none the less true...it all comes together with practise, that's all you need to know. The only difference between people who can't draw and people who can is that the people who can..do!!....sounds a bit Zen like I know but it really is all that seperates the good from the indifferent. Best of luck and I look forward to seeing your ever improving work...have fun!!! |

Agreed with everyone so far. I think another tip would be to start amassing a collection of art you like, or inspiration. I have a list of links to over 100 GFX'ers, Deviants, and General Artists whose art I like, and I have a pretty large bank of individual pictures I think are working. To be able to create are that's pleasing to the eye I think you have to be able to recognize it in others' work. A lot of times if I can't get my creative juices flowin I just go through all the pics I've saved and by the end of it I'm in the zone. Not that I copy waht I saw I just have been inspired. Oh and this website has also helped me develop too ---> http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/ watch some sample clips and you'll be hooked. |

Hey, I'm fifteen now. And like Phaner, turning 16 in October as well. If you need a friend or anything I'm here for you. God that sounded corny. Anyways, just keep practicing over and over. I know that sometimes when looking at other people's artwork might get you down, but don't give up. |

Oh and post stuff in your gallery and look at the WIP forum. It helps to watch people develop their own artwork.
