The above links should answer most questions anyone would have about the whole thing. I've never actually attended one, but apparently this does in fact happen all over the world with different artists in different cities, towns, countries. Some of whom do it from their homes. I figured someone might find this of interest as this time the Sketchcrawl big boss Enrico Casarosa made the announcement real early to get as much attention to it as possible for December.
