Wow... there's about a million or so things that could be going wrong here.

Uhm....

Try to make sure that you are refreshing the actual links on the website.
Make sure you delete the internet cache on your computer. Sometimes web browsers won't update a website if it thinks the whole thing is loaded already.
Make sure you are saving as that websites preferred resolution, some websites will auto compress your images if they are above a certain resolution and that might be effecting it.
Make sure that you are using the same filename every time you update. Unless you are adding and additional image instead of a replacement.

That's about all I can think of at the moment. I let you know if something else comes to me.

I find that converting it to a GIF works for me.
