Hey, I'm back with a new contest. AC Ryan ProModding & ProData is the company that provides the prizes. The first AC Ryan CONTEST : DATA GENERATION was really fantastic and great fun - thanks. I hope this one will be as fun, if not better. This time I am organising the contest without Jordan

JordanRoots 'cos he wants to enter the contest too hehe

Theme : HIFX - Evolution

What does HIFX mean? High FX / High Special Effects

HIFX is the name for a new product that AC Ryan will be releasing soon. For the purpose of this contest for artistic interpretation, it doesn't matter what product it is. We are looking for your interpretation / artistic expression of HIFX.

So we are looking for artwork with extreme effects. Maximum effects. Photoshop people ... photoshop to the max!!! Photography people show off those photography trickshots. Paint / airbrush / illustration people... we'll take surrealism, mixing real and virtual, basically get that shock and awe effect.

To give the theme a focus, your artwork should be about Evolution. Good or Evil / Natural or Unnatural are welcome

Submission format must be 2560x1600 desktop wallpaper
It can be illustrations, digital art, drawings, photography, mix-match
it MUST be your expression. If it uses manipulation of stock photo or collage, the images used must be royalty-free with no restrictions on usage, proper credit given where required.
When your submission is done, you have to post a lower-res 716x418 version (GFXartist max. width 716) in this contest thread and then PM me ACRyan.
Don't forget to add the full resolution 2560x1600 version in the additional downloads, it's this version that will be judged. If you prefer not to public your 2500x1600 version, just pm me and i'll give you my email to email it to me.
Max 3 entries per person
This contest is open on GFXartist and deviantART. Please enter on only 1 site - GFXartist OR deviantART.
Judges: Ken (that's me) ACRyan and my 2 colleagues from AC Ryan, Alex and Dennis.
You MUST add a link to this contest in your artwork's description.
If you want to be nice, spread the word about this contest.

All submitted artwork will be exhibited in HIFX Gallery on ACRyan.com website. Other than that, standard rights apply according GFXartist rules, as mentioned here http://www.gfxartist.com/about/FAQ/10144/

There will be one or more winners, according to how many submissions we receive. The 1st prize is guaranteed (even if there is only one submission)

hey good to see the "early birds" - getting off to a good start.

yes indeed, high on special effects is the MAIN THING. Try to keep it to Evolution. well as far as i can see, almost anything evolves - man, animals, saints, beast, heroes, ideas, energy, computers, robots (yes, inanimate objects evolve too with the help of man) If you've got a theme that you're not sure of, check with me here or pm me to keep your ideas private

Other than that any style goes. The more different types of art, the more interesting the contest is!

is the HiFX a real huge criterion for the contest? my concept would be more based on "evolution" rather than HIFX.
