Here's the link in case the ubb doesn't work. http://www.hotlinkfiles.com/files/286697_elqgp/GFx%20Move.jpg
Hi, it's me zazill hehe . Not sure if this is the best place to post this. Anyway . I'm here because i need some serious help with this piece. At the moment i only have a mouse at my disposal (sucks :r ) and i find it easier to work in Corel Painter but advice from Adobe photoshop would be equally appreciated ;) . Ure free to make adjustments and anything else as long as (and a very big please ) just add an explanation on how, what and so forth. I'm not an artist who likes to do things exactly as prescribed. :)

Thanx alot to everyone who helps.

Hiya!

This is a really good concept, and i like your color palette!

The biggest issue I see with this is simply one of anatomical proportion.
While you have the basic head shape correct, the features are quite wonky.

The head is 5 eyewidths wide, with the eyes one eyewidth apart.
The eyebrows start at the inner edge of the eyes.
The neck is about 3/4 a head with, and about 3/4 a head length.
The mouth should be as wide as the distance between the inner edges of the irises of the eyes.

Here is a paintover making adjustments to the facial features and neck.
I made the adjustments with the lasso tool and Free Transform, moving and resizing, and then I used the liquify tool to do some reshaping (like the eyebrow on the left.

Hope this helps some!

Oh thank you so much for your help Daykan & Madster Yay. . . .so happy; anyway, i initially thought that the problem lied with the colours i used, but after going through your ST topic, especially the part about if the anatomy is off, the whole concept is a mess .. .I've realized that i need some deeper studying of the human anatomy. (paint) Also sent a PM to both of ya
Oh and thanx again . . . . ..now to study study study ....... ~:0

Sound advice there again Maddy. I'm very much looking forward to seeing your own work. Your gallery is sadly empty. :(

Thank you, Raphael.

I doubt you will see me starting a gallery anytime soon. I have an art critique forum that I run, which is where I place most of my works (I do Assemblage art, some painting, and digital works - mainly Photoshop, some Painter) in between providing paintovers and suggestions to my forum members. A lot of my spare time is taken up there, along with designing websites for freinds and family. I stop by and visit other forums to take a break from my "regular" endeavors, and provide some hopefully helpful suggestions to other artists...

I also find the mandatory uploading of a small and medium thumbnail (all hosted on a separate server) too much hassle. My forums have an image uploader, and when I do post artwork on other forums, I post the image. Any thumnails are either automatically generated, or not REQUIRED...Too restrictive to upload a gallery here...

First, agree with arenhaus.
Now, look this:
First it is to raise your figure, a good sketch. It uses the help that I sent to you by mail.
It studies the form of muscles, looks for in anatomy books. The muscle A of your drawing must be contracted by the position of the girl, while muscle B is relaxed.
In muscles of the neck, muscle 1 is relaxed, number 2 is tense. According to the light, show how to solve better your drawing in this area.

By Daykan

For the face, first it is to define the skull. A detail: in your drawing it seems that the girl has ears of elf, if she is thus, by her form draws the other ear, the right. If it is not thus, give a better form, learn it.
Give expression to the mouth (1) and the eyes (2), that their glance or smile says something to you, in your drawing is seen very undressed, like watching the emptiness.
it remembers to give the correct distance to each eye, has third between both as I said to you.
The handkerchief that takes in the head sees very badly seems something suspended on her. For this it is important that you draw the form to him of the skull, then if you put a handkerchief to him in the head like here, or what is, draw it following the contour, its form.
You must do this of the skeleton and the muscles so that when you put some thing above, like the clothes or what it is, IT SEEMS that there is something underneath.
Made some details in the hair!
It studies you fold them of the clothes (3). Sight photographies, or yourself in a mirror.
Finally, it defines the background. The drawing will be seen more interesting with a good background that simply some suggested forms.

I hope to have been of any help for you!
