Its sort of realistic in the proportions of the face, but not too realistic in the color choice and lighting. It's still really stylized, because some features are a bit exaggerated. It still looks really good!

Much better overall Carissa, but the ey's are still too large and round. Great if you're going for a Manga style thing but you're wanting 'realistic' . The same for the mouth, it needs to be slightlywider with thinner lips. Getting there though [Message edited on 05/11 @363]

Well here's my opinion: The eyes are waaay too bright and shiny and the overall lighting/coloring is something which you wouldn't even see in heavily edited photographs. If you want a realistic outcome, there's nothing to do but to sit and study real people! Use references: yourself in the mirror, pictures, make someone pose for you..doing it by yourself when you're used to a cartoon-ish style is not a good way to start, it demands that you put what you know about drawing characters to the side and start from the beginning. The best way to learn is by using a real model, study how the light hits their features, what this does to their skin color, study the different shades of the shadows and highlights, study the real shapes of the eyes, nose, mouth, etc...now you sort of only have your own version of these in your head. The easiest way of learning is by observing

totally agree with Mariam, a good trick it´s add a layer of green or blue over the skin for a more "realistic" color... for me it´s a good try, but take care about the proportions.
