Create with my camera..

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can be more creative with my camera? I feel that I don't achieve anything when I take a photo and I want to create new worlds like a 3D animator would, but with my camera instead of an over-heating PC.

Any suggestions?

how about taking photos through different objects? or doing abstract macro pieces? experiment with lighting...

One assignment I had in college was to take at least 20 shots while standing in the same spot. All I was allowed to do was turn around in a circle.

Course I did this in the sculpture scrap yard, so I did some close-ups, facing down, up etc....it helped me focus on making a good composition out of crap

Think of a story you'd like to tell. Sketch it out on paper and plan how to execute it. Look at other brilliant artists for inspiration.
