I tried to have a serious critic on this picture on my profile, but it seems that everybody is sooo lazy they don't read the descriptions lol

The thing is:

This is my first live concert shoot ever. Fortunately my skills, techniques and equipment has been a lot improved, because if you have to point at this one I would think I should quit

This is the processed version. I know is almost impossible to make it look like the player was on focus, but I'm sure there are lots of improvements I should make and I'm not thinking of.

Original non processed image here.

Thank you :)

Please, be as cruel and mean as you like, I already know the original is horrible and I want an improvement :)

Honestly, I like the original better. How could it be unprocessed, though? You shot it as a duotone?

Anyway, the original looks more sincere, like photo journalistic. The final piece, although has a lot of punch, seems too pop-artish for my taste. But I guess that has mass appeal to the audience who might happen to like the band that is depicted. I do like the zoom effect, it's kinda cool.

Still the original has a more old-school feel to it, like it belongs in a documentary book about rock and roll.

Just my opinion.

The original has been manip as well, as it was too dark to show the original itself. It had to be B/W because it was impossible to get some light out and keep colours as they were.

I tried to duplicate the light effect colours as it was on the rest of the pictures (of this concert), and maybe the final effect is "too pop", witch means I should give it another try

Thanks very much :)
