which LCD should i go for?

Hi everyone;
actually i don't know if im bring this up again but from the posts; it's been a real long time since anyone asked this question, and here it is again. i'm planing to transfere my drawings to computer and begin to work with both 2d and 3d applications (phtotoshop, corel, 3ds max, maya,...etc) and i did already bought a good pc (assempled) and about to buy wacom intuos4 (M,L, or XL - didn't decide yet) and i thought i'm gonna buy a 24" to 26" LCD regardless of anything else like aspect ratio, connectivity, contrast ratio, color schema, etc... the one i was trying to buy was LG TV (i guess) with HDMI connection, then i find out that one of good technical user stating that HDMI (LCD TV type) doesn't give good color and what you see using it is diffenately not what see on other monitors and printers. then another user came up with calibrating hardware (colorimeter) like spider and one-eye, trully i wasn't aware of such thing but they gave me some good infos. at the end one of 'em specified that there is no difference on any brand although manufactorers vision differs from one vision to another regarding colors and calibrating hardware will do the work regardless of brand name, but the other said that most of the brands lies in all (contrast ratio, color schema,... etc) and the only one who can help me is taking words from the experts (artists i mean). so what do you think regarding this as i need your opinions ASAP cause i don't want to waste more time in this issue, so please provide me with your knowledge regarding this matter. and one last note: no one mentioned APPLE cinema as an advice, most of the people i chatted with said apple cinema is not a good choice and will never be.

I've been using Samsung SyncMaster P2250 22" and the way it looked, the colors etc. of it was really nice. I have no problem with it and I am happy.
