while a get together with people I've never met before could be disconcerting, I still think it would be much better to get to know some desingers/artists in this area - where are all of you? There are plenty of places in Center City to meet, share ideas and annoy the straights.

I live in Chester County, west of Philadelphia, would enjoy meeting artists in this area. Not working professionally yet, except for a moderntales.com one-shot and an illustration in a RPG convention booklet. I trained traditionally, later taught myself photoshop, still work only 2D. I am a philadelphia artist just come back form a stay in oklahoma. went to school in philly and now re-picking up my art career in the area. If you guys are a dedicated serious artists that are about becoming better we could set up a meeting. be cool to meet other artists in the area. [Message edited on 01/24 @006]

(2 years later) by annoy the straights, I meant business types who get annoyed that people just hang out. I used to meet there for 2600 meetings, and people would stare at us.

yeah. it was a hackers group; hackers from all over the country would organize local meetings on the First Friday of every month at a specific time.
