Bleach bypass
Xelaxam | 01/23/2004 @038 | Edit edit post
I have just checked the minority report special feature and they talked about bleach bypass to give the "blue - cold" look to the movie ( as done into underworld). I wanna know how to do that effect in photoshop. They don't really explain how they do that and i'm praticly sure that they aren't just going into hue/saturation. I think they are using the curve but i'm not pretty sure; it works but the skins isn't really turning white so How they bleach the picture...

Ps: If you have the chance check the minority report's special features they are really great and they pushed up the work of the artist ( all kind of cinema artist) from the storyboard to the actor. It's great to see that! Also they used so much historical reference it's really awesome.

They don't use digital at all. That is a film-based analog photochemical process.

Most movies are not completely digitized -- even today.
