Polar Bear Studios Seeking 3DSMax Modeler

Polar Bear Development Studios is a student run organization that is developing a one-hour long playable demo to add to our resumes/portfolios, and in order to gain experience in the video game industry.

The game demo will be a 3rd person tactical starship game with a strong emphasis on storytelling. The player will control a capital-sized space ship from a 3rd person view. The look and feel of the game demo will be influenced heavily by Japanese animation, as this allows us ample leeway in production and storytelling. The setting will be a gritty, futuristic society in which commercialization has brought mankind to the stars.

Polar Bear is looking for 3d modelers to complete 12 starship models and several minor environmental models. Applicants must use 3DSMax or Maya. Workload averages 5 hours a week, and estimated project time is one semester (4 months). The position is unpaid, no relocation is necessary.

I'm not a max user but I have a Battle cruiser model I created (its Lightwave but you could convert it) in my freeStuff area here ( http://www.schilddesign.co.uk/free.htm ). If its any use feel free to modify...and maybe give me a mention in your project.
