Aiptek 12000U on Mac 10.3.4? Anyone?

Well I bought an Aiptek 12000U a while back, and just recently I switched to Mac. I love the Mac, I now hate the 12000U. But NOW I don't have any money to get another tablet. Has ANYONE gotten the Aiptek 12000U to work with mac well? I can get it to track and brush and everything, but the pressure levels don't work -- only on and off. Also, in Photoshop CS, it can only draw straight lines, as if I had the shift key pressed or whatever key it is.

I need to use a tablet with Painter 8 and Photoshop CS. Does anyone have any suggestions about the 12000U other than dumping it and getting a Wacom (trust me, when I can, I will do this...but for now I really need a different solution).
