Hi I am new to using a graphics tablet and I wondered if there is any particular way to draw with it. I mean shld I use it like I am drawing or writing on paper. Should it be flat or tilted. At times if I am writing on paper on a tablet my wirst rests on the page and moves ove the page is this a problem on a graphics tablet, should i just have the pen touching the tablet and nothing else. Basically any tips, I am new to this and I dont know if there is a best way to draw on the tablet. Also is it better to have the pen very sensitive or not so sensitive, once again any tips for a newbie to this technological product? |

Just make sure you have your tablet at a comfortable position when drawing with it. Tilted or flat works just as well. Try out different positions, and use the one that feels right to you.quote:As for putting a sheet of paper between the stylus and tablet, it's not a good idea. While it does give a more natural friction than the stylus on the bare tablet, it also wears out the tip of your stylus prematurely. If you're more comfortable sketching on paper, do your sketches the 'old-fashioned' way, then scan them into the PC, and use your tablet for painting the picture or whatever other edits you wish to make. Drawing on a tablet while close to drawing with traditional media, still has more than a couple of differences (both good and bad). With some time and practice however, you'll get more comfortable with your new piece of hardware. |
