Take at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, while down there on business (not at the Observatory) last year.

Project Phoenix is a SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) that listens for alien signals. the project is now based at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico.

Interesting construction!

Difficult to make a "good" composition...

The land/tree section is not really that interesting.

Maybe another angle.

I like the composition - somehow the 'erratic' cables that radiate from the structure really seem to work (you'd have thought they'd be a distraction, but they add to the image). It looks extraterrestrial itself which has a poetic irony given its purpose. The tree line does intrude on the clean sci-fi feel a little, you could consider trying to heal that out, replacing it with cloud... would enhance the feeling that the structure was airborne.
Nice tonalities here too.

great photo! it would be even better in my view if you perhaps removed the big letters, they are really distracting. the composition defends itself perfectly well without it
