Description
Hi allThis is my second painting of a small dino series.
The Pteranodon is the most commonly known flying reptile from that era.
Painted with PS CS3 and Wacom Graphire 4 tablet.
This will get printed on tee's and posters
A water texture is used to speed up the process, which is heavily repainted to suit the image.

Gary: originally the cliff was really darker but it was interfering too much with the dino's...this being a shirt design the foreground figure needs to stand out
I agree though the contrast of the rocks could be higher...thanks!

These becomes almost negligible issues given the quality and depth. The lighting on the water is the most impressive part here. Great job.

About the cropping: The main Pteranodon has to be as big as possible on the canvas which is the focalpoint on the tee.
Tricky task as the wings are spread, and the dimensions of the image needs to be avoided to be square-like. So it's like juggling with with two contradicting elements. Well uhm...just an explanation why the cropping is tight, I agree it isnt aesthetical!
