hi, sharing a collab. a 3D version of one of my own oil paintings, titled: In the Studio -2. painted on canvas.
its was a really interesting work to carry on. my friend at work, sajid saim did all the modeling and lighting and i myself handled the direction, design and texturing. done in maya - mental ray.
ofcourse its very hard to get the charm of an oil painting, but we somehow did achieve a fairly decent result, that we are quite content with.

hmm, i think everything looks quite realistic here except the texture on the vase and the box on the side. the texture stands out too much! otherwise really good stuff!

Love the lighting in this. Not too fond of the cut off elements on the wall in the background though.
