When i was a child, i was often told stories by my grandmom. They're about princes, princesses and monsters. When i grew up a bit, i also like to read comic and to watch cartoon. Well a beautiful childhood with many dreams.

I wished i could meet those characters or i could be one of them ( of couse not to be a princess lol ). Everynight i dreamed about them ^^

Now i turn an anime princess into a real princess. That is my idea.

In the day before, not so long, I visited my friend, he's younger than me. He shew me some animes that his sister and he likes and i watched them.They reminded me of my childhood, and everything. So i decided to make a work

I searched on net and i found a princess and i knew she has been famous when i saw many pics. Yeah, she's sailormoon.

I told my friend to buy for me all Sailormoon episodes and watched to know more about this character.

After that i made this pic. Well i changed a bit detail of her dress and her earing.

Everyone has own dreams and wishes in the childhood but I hope it can remind you of that.

There's just something uncanny about seeing anime characters painted in realistic style, and you're doing a good job at portraying Serenity. I totally can see her in that expression. Oh, how I love that series when I was a little girl

I love the texture of her skin so much it's scary. Her torso is a tad too long--or maybe as Wysiwyg said, her head is flat. But other than that, I really like it.

Her head is flat considering it's a realistic painting, but that flatness is a signature of the the drawings of Sailor Moon.....so it works for me.

The dress seems rush at the bottom though.

but I think the drapery is a bit too hard, or too much, especially in the shoulder and stomach area.
Nevertheless, it's cool.

I like her face and the skin (but you should have painted the whole han), but dress might need work... it seems less unfinished than the skin.

I have no idea who or what Sailor Moon or Princess Serenity is or are lol. This is nice though. Lovely face again with intense eyes. I like the way you do eyes. I think the dress is nice too but a little bit plastic looking and could use a few more folds. NIce work.

her face is really beautiful! my only crit is that i think you couldve worked the dress more, so that the quality of it matches her face. dont be affraid to use reference for fabrics. aside from that, its a great artwork!

Hehehe, I remember watching Sailormoon when I was much younger

I quite like how you usually do that healthy tanned skin, and the textures. Proportion of the head as mentioned before isn't quite right, and I agree some references for the fabric would bring the level of your work up tenfold! Keep up the good work.

I find her face is wonderful (and yes, she's truly like Usagi !!!), love the skin texture and all about her. Only I find the dress fit not so well because of the style...it is too simple, flat, and the less of texture on it contrast so much with the skin.
But I love the face......+8Naoko Takeuchi is the one I must thanks because she made me start with drawing :bow:

I absolutely love this piece, because I am a hopeless Sailor Moon Fan! The way that the hair fades into the background is wonderful, and I adore the way you texture skin
