Description
First i build the elements with polygonmodeling in 3dsmax. The most difficult part was (like almost ever) the lighting of the chrome parts. This was done by 2 large area lights.Please have a look at my other 3d stills here:

the lighting is soooo yum!

It looks like you used a virtual cyclorama as a backdrop? I can tell because of the darkened area of the curve. I'm just wondering if you intentionally wanted that effect because I personally just recently started using matte/shadow materials for my backdrops and I think it makes lighting a whole lot easier, allowing you to just focus on the main objects.
But very nice work!
