pretty cool, though the anatomy on the merman looks off - his upper arm alone is too long/wide, his left arm(almost out of view to us) is long as well and forearm too long. his body looks smaller than the female, perhaps consider to make his body taller and larger, esp since he's closer to the viewer? i would also like to see more atmosphere...more bubbles, more dirty water, algae, stuff like that - this is perhaps too clean and it's as if the water doesn't move at all. there's a lot of interesting things going on and i like the colorful take on the mermaid concept. good stuff +9

Great job. I really like the design of the Mer....people! Very original. The only thing I might suggest is a little more of the surface light caustics dancing over the figures and terrain in the scene to give it a more underwater feel.
