This painting was done when i first started using photoshop. I set up a still-life next to the computer. It was done with the intent to become more familiar with photoshop and painting with it. Done around 2002-2003

Very nice! I love the succulent depiction of the apple, with the colors so bold and laid down in thick strokes. The cloth is looking awesome as well. I would perhaps smoothen out the shading on the book's side (where the pages are) and refine the leaves in the upper left behind the apple just a touch more, but other than that it's great - I can just about feel the sunlight.

you know, i really like your style. that apple kicks ass, especially the area around the stem (the last time i tried to paint an apple, that gave me issues.) you have such a wonderful sense of color. (thumbsup) i guess things could use more values, but in all seriousness, i love this the way it is. i mean, you are capable of detailing but i like how this isn't too detailed but not too underdeveloped. subtle, yet not abstract. lovely work!!
