Description

hi...:). sharing a portrait, but this time, its a parrot, a macaw. ive always liked those beautiful colors that they have on them. ive sketched quite a few before, though this is the first one ive painted in artrage, using tablet, all from scratch.
pls view it from some distance, as its spontaneously done with visible, loose brushstorkes. squinting would be good...:).

enjoy.

hi and thank u alleggra, thats a huge compliment for me to take. monet, what a brilliant artist, ive always liked and enjoyed his paintings. fantastic brushwork. infact, every artist from that impressionist group was great. including, manet, renoir and degas, to name but a few. but ofcourse monet has a special place amongst them...:).
thanks again allegra. really happy u like my work.

really good use of brushes/palette knife (?), the colors are nice too. Maybe the lower part of the parrot seems a bit flat, cause of the brush strokes orientation and size, but otherwise - very interesting style!

mcf...lower part was not treated as a focus, the face and the areas close to it, thats to define the centre of interest...:). i do appreciate the input.

You have done a good use of a digital tool I personally find hard to control. I have tried those brushes in Artrage, and I congratulate you for succeding this well. :)
