Description

I've been enjoying everyones art for so long now, thought I would put one of mine up. I know I don't compare with all your works but this is my hobby. (Glass and wood are my first loves).

Please let me know what you think and what i can do to get better. I really love the abstract and non-mainstream works.

Anyway I did this with ink pens then scanned into photo shop, I applied some filters but in the end I just kept it scanned in with no Photoshopping. Probably took around 4-5 hours.

Hope you like it

Happy days to all Doug

Hey! I like the shapes, interesting first post. +7
I know some art you might like, I dunno why this reminded me of this particular artist, but it did. http://nefeli.epilogue.net

Cool thanks for the comments.

Razpna i'm guessing you don't understand my naming it. I just think the tear drop shape bottom left kinda looks like a clown on a balloon and then with the patterns of the rest of it gives it a texture look.

anyway maybe that would explain a little better, thanks again for the nice comments.

Have a great day...

I like it! It reminds me of cells under a microscope.

Also, thank you for your comments :)

Well, you already have a great eye for detail...but like one of my art instructors said - "anything taken to a level of absurdity can be called art" - in other words keep going with it and just go crazy - the more squiggles and lines the better! +7 points :)

if you hate mainstream, then do anything and everything you can to establish a style of your own. This piece is a great experiment, you've got the form, the colors and the composition. For an abstract, sometimes it has to go to the extreme: it's either meaningful and stylish, or chaotic and formless, and you are the one who define yourself through your works.
