Description
This piece was done as the cover for Rifts WorldBook 29: Madhaven published by Palladium Books. “Madhaven” is the name given to the haunted ruins of Manhattan. The painting utilizes many of the techniques I learned from the Gnomon Workshop's DVD The Techniques of Christian Lorenz Scheurer Advanced Digital Painting in Adobe Photoshop® Volume # 2. The way Sheurer uses photographic textures in his workflow was really an eye-opener to me and I decided to try them out for this painting.
I based the concepts of some of the ships on mine dump trucks and agricultural machinery. I dunno it just seemed like it would help ground the concept in the real world.
C&C welcome.

Really good lay out, perception of depth and
