Cool image! I wonder about the composition? Perhaps you had to shoot it that way. Very nice and crystal clear photo! Great job! :)

Interesting piece...maybe you could try different cropping? Maybe some from the bottom.
otherwise well done!

Very nice image. I like those spirals. Agree about the cropping thou. I would get rid of the empty space from above and remove some of the bottom too. Still, awsome work!

Well, just to join in the debate :p i'd suggest cropping from top and right so that the larger amonite (I think that's what they are called??) is croped on all 4 sides and acts as the background to the smaller amonite, which becomes the main focus.
The tonal range and texture in the fossils is really striking...

This one is awesome, looks like it's from themoon or something. The spirral should have been on focus to make this look really good.

Good one

  • flow is working.. my eyes keep circulating. nice.
  • go you.. ilford is rockin..
  • maybe, but maybe not: considered having the image dof broader/sharp throughout? might further the detail and drama?

I love spirals. :) Nice capturing of shadows and light to create a very interesting negative space and composition.
