Description

This was taken from my dads window. The sky was actually a lot more pink than this. My first effort below came out blue with none of th epink showing for some weird reason. So this was the closest I got to the actual sky I was looking at.

Just adjusted the contrast slightly.

Anyway I am no photographer and this is just for fun on a run of the mill digital camera.

This is Llandudno and the outcrop you see is called The Great Orme on top of which is the worlds oldest copper mine (4000 years old or so) and a dry ski slope haha.

Camera - Kodak EasyShare c300 (read it a weep photo freaks! hahaha) Yes I know you are all jealous of my equipment lmao

Beautiful shot, Andy. The colors are gorgeous. My only real crit is that the image quality could be better; there seems to be quite a bit of noise. Good first effort. (thumbup)

yeah it was one of those 'oooh that looks pretty where's me camera?'moments. I only wish I'd had a proper camera and photography skills to do the scene justice, as the reality was much better than this photo.

P.S I am not sure why the street lamps have that flare on them but it may be because I took this through a window? Anyway I think it looks ok haha

I would like to get your permission to use "The Great Orme" when referring to myself in the third person.
As far as noise in your photo, I have placed my head as close to my computer monitor as i can and I can hear nothing.
And grain? I find the fiber in your photo to be an excellent source of roughage. And for that my colon and I thank you.
The pink version has my vote!!

If you say this doesn't do it justice , then its must have been a really spectacular view, cause the colors are amazing in this photo in the first place :) Great job

thanks everyone. Rach it was absolutely gorgeous! That was teh only reason I took the pick as any normal but still nice sunset and I wouldnt have bothered. Thanks RizzoMattos the pink was lovely in the sky.

skulpturro, I am going to complain to the authorities for letting you out so soon after having E.S.T.

Hey I am not commenting because of family issues, but had to comment on this !
Its a very good image.. its not straight ! but none the less very good ..

You may have uncovered a hidden talent ! the composition is good considering you were operating out a window ! Well done..
And now I slink off into the background again !!!! hehe

Avatar Andy--Jones

 05/11/06 @853

not only a window it was a porthole with thick grime on it and a seagull obscuring my view...thats how good I am! Actually it was a big bay window that had just been cleaned so I had a good view. It wasnt open though.

Cheers A-H appreciated. Hope all is well.

Beautiful sky, I like the pink. I don't like the flare from the street lamps though, maybe you could remove it someway...? Overall a nice, dreamy shot.

Avatar Andy--Jones

 05/12/06 @750

thanks Sandra! The flare was unintentional as I know nothing about photography.Anyway I think I will leave it as I am not really into photography and will probably end up spoiling it anyway.

Cheers :)
