Nice work, there are some anatomy and colouring issues though. You should use a reference for the horse body, his muscles look off. The left arm looks too thin compared to the hand.
You should avoid using grey or black for the shading. Cold colours or dark warm ones are better. the horse tail needs some refinement.
Some work on the background would be great

Thanks diane for checking my work out, its my first submission here and im kinda excited to here what people think. I couldnt agree with you more about the horse body..i had no internet back then when I drew this and it was really hard trying to get reference of a horse. thanks for the tips about the coloring also!

The girls body looks better than the horse- but I still like it
