This is a book cover I did for sci-fi author Stuart Clark. I had fun making this painting, as the clients monster design was really interesting. More info on the publishers site: www.silverleafbooks.com

Reference used for the guy.
Painted during 5 evenings in Photoshop CS2 with a Wacom Intuos tablet.

Nice change of pace for you there.
The lighting is terrific.
The guy on the right spot on

Now, I'm not sure about the creature though.
It's a bit odd mix of fantasy and sci fi (I see some
Giger elements in it

)

But the overall composition is great

I can see this would look good on a book-cover. The guy is really well done. The monster's perspective is slightly off, however, and the mouth is twisted towards the viewer more than the rest of the face. Overall it's excellent.

Excellent work. The guy is brill! The monster is also brill but I get the feeling that a different colouring technique has been used and if not It just looks slightly (ever so slightly mind) different, different styles almost. This will look great on a book cover though.Top work again.

As I said, this is a really good artwork. The characters are amazing and the reflection of the light on both characters was very well done.
