Description

A drawing of Lake Louse in Canada, which started out as a practise, but turned in an birthday gift, when a friend insisted on getting a drawing for her birthday... oh well
The reference was a photo made by my sister, last summer. I will upload that later (I haven't got acces to a scanner at the moment) but the photo is quite similar to the drawing.

Thanks for looking!
greets Annette

Very alive works. Stones in the foreground - great!

not bad...landscapes are pretty hard to make due to perspective:)
you got it out in the end pretty well;)
not a big fan of the tilted horizon, makes the compo look a bit uneasy
and maybe more darker colours for more balance and depth too:)
overall good job;)

I like the colors you used for the rocks in the foreground and the perspective looks great too. Nice work!

Hey thanks everyone for the comments!
Cigaro:
The colors where darker in the picture (specialy the shadows in the stones), I actually had to be careful not to make them to dark but I gues the scanner made them ligther somehow... I dont know...
As for the horizon: I guess i didn't notice that, but now you say it..

i like your choice in colors, and perspective, turns a boring subject (in my opinion landscape's are boring) into something interesting enough to chase through the whole eye path...nothing really cements the eye but that corresponds well with the free and flowing feeling of the pastels...combines for a sort of airy mood.

The use of colours really show your talented Annette ;) (Damn, I sound like a suck-up)... Its a proper job to draw a landscape with normal, grey-ish colours... But to use all colours of the rainbow, really shows you know what your doing... Definitly a great drawing... You should draw more often :)
