Description

just two of the photos i took on a bored night of photography at an local industrial estate.

all thats been altered is turning some of the picture into grey scale and auto leveling

Also the qualitys a bit rubish as i only have an old 3 MP camera (Nikon Coolpix 775)

P.S. I'm working on the size, for some reason my Photobucket keeps on making it smaller

Interesting concept - like the idea of satureted and desaturated parts - nice...;)

Bend your knees! The photos are nice, the colors are good, but a lower angle would have made both photos much better, IMO.

nice idea!
I like the lower one much better! the upper one is to "normal". and I agree with Basw about the angle.
nice work through. (a better frame would also be great)

Another example of partial desat (a technique I'm normally a little retisent about) working really well. I like the angles and the perspective...
I see this as a single piece rather than 2 individual images...
Trying to decide if I'd prefer the images placed the other way around - not sure...
Think it's a case of whichever way you'd put them I'd wonder about the other one!
I'd suggest that the border seperating the 2 images should either be the same depth as the surrounding border or - the surrounding border should be the thicker of the two.

i agree with phill but due to a mistake of my own where i was going to use a 8 px boarder, 16 in all, so for some reason i but a 16 px in between, i shall make that change on the larger version once i find some new image hosting.

the barrels will prob still be there in the same manner as its a very little used buisness near me.

i love the chair it was there, i didnt place it there or anything. the shame is that i only had a 3mp camera :(

but thanks for the comments guys

I'm glad I can't tell that it was "only" a 3mp camera, cuz you have a great idea in mind here. Just try to get a little less "normal" perspective by getting lower to the ground.

Interesting and effective use of selective desaturation. The bottom photo is definitely the better of two; the perspective here is much more dynamic. Nice work.
