The colors are striking indeed. Very well composed shot. Before anyone suggests that the shot would have been better without the people, I think they provide an additional element of interest to the image. Well done.

Mihai: I guess you've probably never seen any of my uploads at this rate . I remember my images not being visible for you in the past. I think it's probably due to a firewall on your end and the fact that I' m hosting from my computer. But since I don't expect everyone to drop their firewalls to see my uploads, i should probably get some online web space. Anyway, I've added a link that should work for anyone else having this problem as well. Thanks for your patience.

hmm..I actually think IMO the people make the shot more interesting, otherwise it is just another baroque hall in the vatican. Sometimes pure architectural shots dont do the places justice, and the people here help us see the scope of the place-they help establish its grandeur...it would of been nice if the mass of people were more balanced out to correspond more harmoniously with the symmetry of the arches... I love architecture shots, and I know how annoying all the turists can be!!! I think its a beautiful image!

While I'd probably cast my lot with those in favour of cropping the people - i can see why you might want to keep them too - and you get the casting vote!
