Description

"Welcome, children, to the Undertree Inn. Where you can play and party all night long, without adults to say "don't do this", "don't do that" or "go to bed". When you're tired, comfortable beds are already prepared at the second floor. Enjoy yourself, don't mind the screams you heard at night. When morning come, the caretaker will escort what's left of you to the edge of the forest. It will be an experience you'll never forget."

Half an hour sketch, 20 or so hours (5 days) of fun painting ^^.
Although it turned exactly as I wanted, I'm still not satisfied on some part. Plus, I don't know if drawing those misty dementor-ish things on the background a good idea or not, but it does support the story ^^.

Very quaint! I want to go to that pub...do they sell beer? DOH I'm an adult and we arent allowed! Anyway really nice picture

P.S Only thing I aint too keen on is the whispy bit (mist?) at the side of the inn. Other than that its great.

Something's disturbing there, may be this blue light..I don't know
May be because the bright roof and the blue light draw attention from the enter of the house and it's hard to concentrate..
Anyway I think it's very expressive and good atmosphere and it has a lot of the good old fables)

scary and magical! I love this, I like how there are all these curves and the mushrooms on the right-hand side foreground really add some nice dimension to the view. I have nothing to crit, on;y to say well done!!

Curlyhair, I agree the moon light distracting. It wasn't supposed to be that bright but got carried away. (it will be hard to fix it since it actually has textures but maybe if I have time..)

I love the story and the idea. But your image seems somehow a bit flat. It lacks a bit of perspective: grass should be more defined and/or appear longer in the foreground. This effect is not fully compensed by details like the mushrooms at the right.
Moreover, I would have put the ghostly "clouds" much farer in the background, because they seem to be really too close to the inn.
However, the inn is wonderfully lit and this animal character is so cute!

awesome. I really want to go sleep in this inn. It seems inviting, warm, but scary at the same time. I like the little story that comes with the painting. The ghosts were a good Idea IMO. The night feeling is there. It make me wanna paint something else than just people. buildings seem fun to paint aswell. I like your style. definitely, you'Re one of my fav. artist. +9
