Description
This is my first attempt at a major digital art portraiture which also has some scenery. It depicts a fantasy female overlooking the mountains yearning for her long lost love to return. I usually don't do figure drawings much as my favourite things to draw are sci-fi, aliens and cityscapes..etc, but i thought i might give fantasy/portrait a go. I did this entirely within photoshop CS using a tablet and took me overall 20 hours over 3 weeks. I used some photo reference for the face (nose, eyes etc.) and the rest is my imagination. Crits are welcome as it will only help me improve. Hope you like it.

Remember that digital paintings aren't set in stone - if something doesn't look right, fix it before rending further. Great work for a first! Hope to see more.

The thumb is too long and I agree with Diane about the head/eyes.
Also the grass in the tower is a little too gree and flat.
Anyway it's a very good start!
Welcome on GFX!

For next improvement:
Less contrast on the background coz it's far away. Clouds, mountains, etc
Put some material on the dress to make it more attractive, and study drapery
Anatomy study or reference on all body (not just face) will make it better.
Good luck and welcome to GFX ^^
