Description

Korobokuru are a race of dwarf-like humanoids from the D&D Oriental Adventures setting.

This one is kind of a landmark piece for me. It's the first one to get accepted into Epilogue, it's my first Mod's Choice at Elfwood, and is so far my highest rated work here at GFX. :)

Thanks to everyone who commented and voted.

Done with Photoshop 7 using a Wacom Graphire 3 tablet.

awesome lil dwarf, I really dont like the chestplate, feels a lil out of place no texture, doesnnt really match I think.

Interesting take on the dwarf motif. I agree with the comment above reguarding the chestplate. Instead of having the oval extend below the dwarf perhaps just that section could be black. As it is now, it looks odd with the fabric below and behind him. Nice job.

Cool character design, and the face and left hand are especially well-done. However, your shading has a bit of that plastic look. To help with this, I would recommend a) introduce colors other than black, white, and shades of the local color and b) consider the unique properties of each piece of cloth, material, surface, etc. Also don't forget to consider how different areas interact with each other (through reflected light, for instance).
Keep practicing! You're on your way. :)

Ooh hey, Pinoy! <3 Always nice to see another kababayan here xD I adore the striped pants and his expression, very amiable. Nice work on the detailing as well, and the simple background + shadow works very well.
