cute ...thing. :)
the pic is a bit too crowded and the lightning and shadows are a bit tiresome.

The area directly around this chipmunk has the best lights and darks. Cropping this into a vertical format could be more appealing. Beside the highlight upon the near ground rock on right and on left would be just after sloping downward of the near ground rock. Well taken shot, they are quite hard to photograph and you did a rather good job.

These fellows are not just hard to catch, they are good fighters, too. The one I had once threw a cat out of the house, that always tried to come through the door of my balcony. :)
Nice picture. I think it is better to crop it, but more on the left and less on the right.

@Thorsten: Haha... I know they're fast (I only had about literally 5 seconds to get the shot). But I've never seen them fight. I do know they can really mess up your yard though. :)

2 days ago my cat killed one of them... but i know that these little animals are really fast and i like the title/picture combination :) the composition is nice though i'm missing a bit more sharpes... just a tiny litltle bit :) never the less great capture!!!

i like the compo on the second crop most. cute subject :)
perhaps i wouldn`t add such a huge border and play a bit on the contrast, beside that well done :)

The second cropping is great! It's so hard to know just how much to edit and how much to remove from a photo when you're initially happy with it. I think you heeded the advice given previously and ended up with one hell of an image of quite an elusive subject! Personally, I'd delete the current one and substitute the second cropping in its place! +8/8 for the second cropping - jason
