Description
Long time no seeI've been quite busy this summer (university issues) so i had no time to submit,or even paint,anything ^^;
This was supposed to be human version of the ancient egypt goddess Bastet(or bast) but i think the concept isn't that obvious ^^; anyways,i must say this is the best picture i've come up with recently...at least i had a lot of fun with all the details and the pose
Technical details:
Time:20 days?...let's say a month,cause i don't know exactly
Original resolution:4550x2600
Tools:Adobe photoshop 7.0,wacom intuos3 A4 tablet
Reference:Egyptian style anatomy(pictures on the wall)
I'll add links to the wip shots and closeups on demand.
UPDATE:FIXED THE BELOW MISTAKES.

Her legs, and especially feet are too thick and lumpy.
The perspective of the pillars are off.
As already mebtioned, the reflection is not right.
Looks like you have copy/pasted the character and used that as reflection.
But of course, the reflection has to be mirrorred, and the only way to do
that is by painting it yourself.
Still it's an enjoyable piece, with lots of colours and details
Lovely face too

The goddess' face looks modernly Western
However, 7/7.

Theskin looks just so soft, and her face is so lovely.
Anyways, here are some little crits: I think the feed could use a bit of work - I know that feed aren't easy to paint, but it would really woth the afford!
Additional to that the background doesn't match to the figure completely - she seems a bit pasted.

I admire your ambition in tackling all those patterns and reflective surfaces, but you haven't quite nailed it yet. Don't want to rehash what others have said, but I'm most concerned about things not fitting together, whether in style or in space. For instance, the figure is so soft and organic, whereas the architectural elements are very mechanical; they look rendered rather than painted. Perhaps you could go back over some of those super-slick surfaces and roughen them up a bit.
Anyway, it's still a strong piece--just with room for refinement.

the amount of details are just awesome
the choice of colors really reflects that specific era
and all the jevels and tiny lil accessories make her flesh out and add to the piece
well done gal
my only crit would be to work on the legs a bit more
define them and refine them more
the skin on her face looks great
but the legs shout "hey i am bored and want to get this piece over with"
even though i am an Anubis guy i give 9 points 2 your bastet
