wheels looks a bit boxy... tyre might be too thin(on the z direction, i mean)...

the whole model looks kinda like paper model... is it because of the texture color?

but still, great job!

Looks great... but (there's always a but, isn't there? ;)):
Judging from the currently visible wheels, I should be able to see some of the right wheel too, if you get what I mean (so there's one wheel missing :)).
I feel that the tires need a little more volume too.
Other than that, it's a great conversion to 3d art form.. +5

What I find exceptional about this is the way that the 3d rendered tank retains much of the graphic quality of the original sketch. :)

Dude you rock. I gotta learn how to model like that... I can do SFX and Caustics and such (see my art) but when it comes to modelling... I am not that good. I want to model some of the swords that people carry in Feng Zhu's pics. But yeah, good job my man. Keep it up

Very nice, you did a great service to Feng's tank illustration. One small detail I noticed you missed. In Feng's illustration the top turret has windows and the shutters are up so one can view from the inside. I think you forgot to place the windows under the upraised shutters, enough of my nit picking. Your 3-D illustration Rocks.

Excellent work! Have you asked what Feng says about it? Very good translation with max. How many polygons? How many hours?

Hey all, - Thanks for the comments - Its funny.. you can sit here all day long and create somthing... and its always the really obvious parts that you seem to miss... like I did with the right wheel - Thx kristoffer for that :)

It took about 5 hours in total to build and texture. - But the reference was so good that I already knew exactly how I wanted it to look before I even loaded max... - poly count is quite low.. I dont have a super computer so its 7000ish.. but its not optimised..:) its the wheels take most of the poly count...

At work, im re-doing it a lilttle and doing a high detail version, i.e the wheels and wheel nuts etc etc.. just to give the whole image complete depth that this one lacks.

I decided to give the image a real brightness to it.. to me thats just my style and it suited the style that I was aiming for...

But really its all thanx to Feng.. If you have a great concept to start with.. then its simple :)

Thanks to all for your support.

Yeah, Concept->to->creation

or: how to develop a cy-tank in detail

I've already seen that concept drawing, but the 3D-mesh
it's just amazing

and that's the opinion of a german student :)
