CD cover contest entry:
This design is a piss-take on House music, and specifically a New Zealand promoter called "One Green Apple". Cos it's all about loud bass and popping e's really isn't it?
All photos my own, taken in my garage with morning light.

This looks sweet...the typography is perfect for the piece....are the speakers photos or did you create them in a program? I don't know if we have to, but I think we have to present these on a cd case template similar to what the provided. You can always make your own, but it has to look like it's a cd and not just a piece of artwork.

I don't want you to be disqualified just because of that!

I really dig the smillies on the speakers, it adds a little fun touch, and helps with the color palette distribution.

Nice crisp design and yeah i like the smileys too.

Maybe to crisp and clean for a house cd....it's all about total sensory immersion and is NEVER this clear!!!....would make a great record logo though!

Anyway...just my 2 cents!

Kaduflyer ... I dunno man. In NZ anyway most of the house compilations tend to be real minimalist looking, plush, and sophisticated stylee designs. Major releases from: Our House, One Green Apple and Ripe all follow this standard.
