CONTEST Design a CD Cover

well, its my first submission in the site, so... i'm glad to be here and i expect to learn some with you guys...

I made this one with photoshop, i used a photo of my father (when he was a kid of course), the photo is "higher" than "larger" so i have to put some texture in the background, then i took a photo of the pavement and manipulated it a little, then used some brushes and choose the name, at first I used "vintage", but I looked at the radio and decided to call the band "Vieux Bruit" or in english "Old Noise", the whole thing took me about 5 hours to finish and I am happy with the result...
Oh! and i think that This band is some band that sounds like Blonde Redhead, Sonic Youth, or even Cocorosie...

I absolutely love teh aqua and rusty color combination...the text blends in but stands out...it's really great!

Nice work! It's a very interesting style. I didn’t sure if likes me completely the aqua tone that you use in the image. But certainly gives a weird touch!

I like the nostalgic look. There seems to be a solid line above the “U” in bruit all the way to the top that is bothering me. Also, I think you need to make it look like a CD cover so that it is not disqualified. Overall a nice design, good luck.
