So, I took two Photos from these ones, which I hade made for the Blue Part of my Colour Series! I searched on a cool Internetsite (dont know the Adress) for a nice name for my fictive Character and I tought Sidney would look nice! Jones might be a good last name for her and so I began! The only thing I used, which is not from me is the Pattern in the Background which is from the last CD of Aaliyah and can be found here: AaliyahIcarefor you.com All the Rest is my work!
I used a new type of jewel case which you can see in real life by the CD "The Dutchess" of Fergie! I thought this is a quite cool type

Ihope you like my work, it took me a long time to finish it!

Photos: Konica Minolta Dimage X50
Fonts: Gill Sans MT, Scriptina
Programm: Photoshop (I got no InDesign here

)

P.S.: I did 2 Versions, because I just dont know, if these kind of Logos are Ok, or not. So I did one Version with and one without Logos!

Nice color scheme....

It's very retro80's...

I also really like the font and graphic treatment for the title and how you grounded it.

My only concern is that we were told that we were not to use anything that was already available commercially....I'm assuming that the background from Aaliyah's CD would be copywrited. Perhaps you should check it out just in case?

Oh, just to say, I prefer it without the advisory logo...

It's not very modern... but if u wanted something retro , then I think u must have tried to show that even more...is important to be very sure of what u do... to have confidence in your works...

I believe you are allowed to use those logos (Sony BMG etc.) provided you do not gain profit from their use, such as selling the image or prints of the image with their logo. Also, if you had won the CD Cover contest using their logos, you might have been in trouble. But you are not selling this and the Contest judges would probably chosen the one without logos so there shouldn't be a problem.
