Description
This represents my very first attempt to produce a full-on utterly digitally painted bit of artwork. It's proving to be a difficult adjustment, as I do still miss the act of working traditionally... (the smell of the paint, the ink splatters on the carpet, drinking my brush-washing water instead of my cup of tea... stabbing my eyes out with pencils when it all goes horribly wrong... etc) Inspired by some of my digital arty friends, and the experience of writing and illustrating a book all about Fantasy Art, (called Fantasy Clip art.. out next Spring... pre-order now on Amazon!!) where I produced a lot of digitally painted art, I thought I should embrace the 'new techniques' or be left to rot in the gutter of antiquity with the other fallen leaves from the tree of traditional stoicism.Yep, it's not perfect, she has a kooky face and an ass so rosey you could brown toast on it, but it's a step in the direction I need to head in, methinks.
...unless you guys think different.....??

I'm not keen on her face, sorry, seems a bit too comical compared to

Now for the crit. I think this is a wonderful first attempt with the media. The colors and structure could be a bit tighter, but over all this gets an a for experimentation and execution. I like the concept and the character design, her butt looks like it would pop if she sat on it though. i like the exxageration in her facial features.
