Beautiful b&w tones! I like the angle and the sky degrade. Perhaps you could include more of your subject on the top. Still a nice photo!...

Nice idea, but it looks a bit odd in landscape mode with top portion of water pump cut off. A version in portrait mode may have worked better here, since the water pump seems to your intended subject. Other than that a good choice of taking this in black and white, creating a fitting mood for this photo. Nicely done.

I would have to agree with GFXartist sponsor loneorbit in that I would have tried it in portrait as well as landscape. But I like how the landscape view gets more of the soy field in the image which makes the setting.
Good job. I like it!
What part of Ohio were you in? I'm from the Dayton area, but currently in Columbus at OSU.

Zach - this was taken in Berlin Heights, east of Sandusky. It's a tiny little rural village, like most of Ohio. Not quite Amish, but about as close as you can get! It's a good time to be a buckeye - if you were forced at gunpoint to be one ;)
