Description

Although abstracts don't do well here. I can't resist this one !! Frank C&C is welcome as always.

This abstract is a small part of large number of water holes caused by rock erosion. This phenomenon occurs naturally, because of the type of stone.
The water has cut down the rock very deep, the water level visible in rainy season is upto 50 feets deep.

This is situated near Parner, Ahmednagar.

Check out additional downloads for more of this place !!! like depth etc

Would work in BW better imho. But very nice place and you did a wonderful job on the exposure! You could also have cropped a little from above.
But don't misunderstand me I like this picture, I just try to give useful impulses.

@Lenn0 : Not a problem mate, i look f/w to such Critiques ... I had tired croping from the top, But somehow this crop flows better at the top. BW is a nice suggestion tried it too... But the bluish water & rock colors look a tad better !!! thnx again.

Nice abstract!
Enjoy especially the blue tone of the water.

Great natural abstract – like the use of a long shutter speed to give the water a flowing texture and increase the painterly suggestion of the image. Interesting bands of colour and texture and of course the hole in the rock gives the image its surreal quality.
Think there may be signs of a touch of oversharpening there – white artefacts running down the side of the rock… (prob caused by the final prep for loading onto Gfx)
Nice work

What a cool abstract this is! I'd love to see this in person. You've managed to capture a nice composition to a very small part of this formation. The colors and lines are wonderful.

Nice place. Although I would try to lessen the exposure as it looks a bit washed out. Also, interesting rock formations are usually seen best when illuminated by unusual natural lighting (not to take anything away from your effort though).

nice rock formation. i like the feel of the water, it looks either to hot or too cold. well done

Additional Download #1 is the strongest of the tree images in my opinion, but this one is interesting aswell. I particularly like the effect of the water. I would consider another crop.

it cool and nostalgic, why?
Because this reminds me when I used to play tomb raider 3, in nevada so specify, so I had to climb rocks like this.
Excellent photo! Greetings!

This is a really beautiful work :)
I particularly like the way the soft blues contrast with the rough browns of the rock. A good abstract composition. Really an enjoyable photo.
Good work.

Beautiful colors, even those found in water which definitely adds a airey atmosphere to this setting. Composition is okay, but some more of the water at right would have been nice considering there is so much rock surrounding it.
