Description
This is shot at the Fort of Raigad. The capital of Maratha kingdom in 16th century. We spend about 4 days to shoot this !! And it was worth. My most favorite photo ever (i doubt it will ever change )!!! The silhouette shows samadhi [place where ashes of dead r buried] of the gr8 king Shivaji who is still devoted in my country after 400 years of his death. The larger monument is the temple he used to pray at everyday. The divine lights r natural. This photo is as from the camera But for a small cloning because the structure was being repaired. no level, curves etc...
Please read more about the King below...
Maharaj Shivaji was an able administrator, and established a government that included such modern concepts as cabinet (Ashtapradhan mandal), foreign affairs (Dabir), and internal intelligence.[2] Shivaji established an effective civil and military administration. He also built a powerful navy and erected new forts like Sindhudurg and strengthened old ones like Vijayadurg on the west coast. The Maratha navy held its own against the British, Portuguese and Dutch till Maratha internal conflict brought their downfall in 1756.
But he is well known for his fatherly attitude towards his subjects. He believed that the state belonged to the people. He encouraged all socio-economic groups to participate in the ongoing political changes. To this day he is remembered as a just and welfare-minded king. He brought revolutionary changes in military, fort arhitecture, society and politics.
Maharaj Shivaji was crowened ("Chatrapati= Chief, head or King of Kshatriyas", representing the protection he bestowed on his people) on June 6, 1674 at the Raigad fort, and given the title Kshatriya Kulavantas Simhasanadheeshwar Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Thnx for ur comments guys !!!
Actually this fort is situated on a high mountain !!
So the corner trees if cloned out doesn't look real, as this is a very popular monument & we r used to seeing it often. Although i will give crop a try !!!

I quite like the effect of cropping from either the right or left (prob left) so that the silhouette runs to the edge of the image on one side… it off-centre’s it slightly and for me gives the skyline a little more perspective impact.
Excellent capture.

Only two tiny things... the centre dome thingy... it seems to be leaning to the right.. I appreciate it may be the building but I would straighten it.. and the bush on the right.. I would use photoshop to make is a solid dark area to balance it out with the left hand side.. what I am trying to say is the bush does not fit in.. I wouldnt crop it out just fill it in.. GREAT SKY !!!
